17th May 2010

STEVENS Derek. On the 17th May 2010 in the R D & E Hospital, Wonford, after a short illness. Aged 81 years. Beloved husband of the late Margaret. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral service in The Exeter & Devon Crematorium on Friday 28th May at 1.45pm in St Paul's Chapel. Family flowers only, but donations if desired to The Stroke Association. C/o F J Luxton & Son, Funeral Directors, Ottery St Mary. EX11 1BE

    We send our condolences to the family of Derek. I visited him on a regular basis, and was sorry not to have heard the sad news until after the funeral. We would like to have paid our respects.

    He and Margaret were lovely employers (in the 1960's), and Derek was a joy to visit at his final home in Exmouth, where he still enjoyed a good joke.

    I shall miss Derek very much.
