Memories of Colin

John Alderton

I was very sorry to read about Colin’s death. He was bass drum player with the Leiston Royal British Legion Band during the mid 1970’s when I was conductor, and we played at Snape Maltings to an audience which included composer Benjamin Britten and Imogen Holst, along with a great many supporters from the local area. Unfortunately I’ll be in Hong Kong on the day of the funeral but I will be thinking of you ... Diana, Melanie and Andrew, at this sad time.
